RISOGRAPH WORKSHOPS & SHOW with BIENVENUE PUBLISHING from Zurich
JUNE 2, 2017
WE ARE THRILLED to announce a month-long show with Brooklyn-based painter Christina Zimpel. After working for years as an art director for Vogue (dropping out to live in Paris and finally making her way to New York), the artist has turned her finely-tuned eye to painting & drawing. Zimpel has created two dozen new works exclusively for Book/Shop; a lively group of reading figures and authors, all in Zimpel's signature style, blending the color sensibility of the Fauves and the juicy line of Matisse with a nod to 70's Eastern European graphic design.
Join us on Friday, June 2nd (Oakland's First Friday) for an opening event at BOOK/SHOP Oakland. 6-9PM. Music, refreshments, and first opportunity to shop this brilliant collection of work.
