This volume is a special first edition of the novel that took Blaise Cendrars nearly a decade to publish, and in his lifetime, claimed was never complete. “Moravagine,” “mort a vagine,” a kind of death in life and life in death, is the textual and thematic crux of Cendrars unfinished work, through which a kind of exorcism is attempted (and extended) to in some ways free the writer from the writing itself.
