“L’Eden Cinéma” premiered as a theatrical production at the Théâtre d’Orsay, 25 October 1977 w. the Compagnie Renauld-Bassault, dir. Claude Régy.
This volume is a first edition of one of Duras’ “L’Eden Cinéma,” one of her theatrical works rarely performed in English. The work is oddly anticlimactic, a meditation on the inexact spatial and temporal sites of memory fittingly activated on the abstractly endless and structurally limited space of the stage.
